The full story of Chelsea boots

Hi from Toppline Kenya team,

Today we discuss Chelsea Boots.

This unisex boot hails from London since 1951:

Key features include?

  1. They are close-fitting. This means Chelsea boots fit very tightly. Displaying the contours(shape or figure) of the foot.

  2. They are ankle-high boots. With slip-on design.

  3. Features elastic inserts on either side making them easy to pull on and off. This is my favorite feature, it means you do not spend any time lacing up your shoes. Saving time.

  4. The boots normally have a loop or tab of fabric on the back of the boot, enabling the boot to be pulled on easily

  5. They can have leather or suede upper.

  6. Vulcanized rubber soles. This means hardened rubber. Originally it referred to the process of exclusively treating natural rubber with sulfur plus heat. This makes the rubber stronger and more elastic. This has however grown to include the hardening of other (synthetic) rubbers via various means e.g chloroprene rubber.

    1. The vulcanized rubber is both stronger and more elastic than traditional rubber. This makes it perfect for a high end boot like Chelsea boot.

  7. These gender neutral boots feature low heels.

The boot caters to various style preferences, both casual outfits and formal attire.

What is your most favorite feature for Chelsea boots? Please let me know in the comments section.
